Supporting the Chagalamarri Mar Thoma Mission & Boys Hostel

This summer, on August 8th, our church is hosting a Sports Day and during the tournament we wanted to raise funds for the Chagalamarri Mar Thoma Mission and its Mar Thoma Vidhya Nikethan Boys Hostel in Andhra Pradesh, India. Since 1992, this mission has shared the Gospel and served eleven surrounding villages, and in 1997 it opened a hostel that today provides a safe home, education, and spiritual nourishment for 26 boys from economically challenged families. Over 28 years the hostel has transformed lives, with former students now serving as evangelists, nurses and agricultural officers in their communities. Running the hostel costs roughly $8000 a year, and every dollar we raise helps cover food, schooling, and daily needs for these children.
